Evolution Martial Arts is not only a wonderful place to learn Mixed Martial Arts, but also a spiritual and moral environment for your children to grow. Evolution is family owned and operated and it shows in the care they give every student. Our son started MMA when he was 7, not long after starting Professor Ryan put a challenge to the kids, “who ever brought in the most new friends and family would win four private lessons with him.” The race was on and my son was determined to win. He talked his friends into trying a class, then he also talked his father and me into trying “just one class”. I can say after one class we were all hooked. Our son now has earned his brown belt, my husband and I are both blue belts, and our daughter is well into her white belt after completing the little ninja’s program, which she started at the age of 3. As a family we have spent five years at this school going almost every day of the week for one class or another and we still love it. I also do the Kardio Kickbox class and to this day, I find them challenging and exhilarating. If you are looking for a school that is not a belt factory, but actually teaches your children and yourself true martial arts, then Evolution is the school for you.

I am writing to express my family’s great satisfaction with Evolution Martial Arts.
Having prior training ourselves, my wife and I have been exposed to varying degrees of professionalism in the martial arts community ranging from the “belt mills” who churn out ill-trained and poorly disciplined students, to high-level dojos with a real desire to impart not only proper technique, but also the discipline and humility that makes a well-rounded practitioner. Our son has been your student for four months, and in that time I have come to respect you, Professor Cook, and your staff as clearly in the high-level category.
While the instruction is rigorous, our son eagerly looks forward to each session. Being only 8-years old, we were apprehensive that his attention would wander, and he would not get the most from your training. However, Evolution’s instructors are excellent at getting, and holding the attention of every student, and insuring that everyone is engaged throughout each class.

For the past 8 years, Evolution has been a “home-away-from-home” for our family. My son Grayson and my daughter Massena both participate in the program and my wife and I could not be more pleased. My son has already become an accomplished black belt after 8 years and my daughter is currently working toward that goal as well.
Evolution and Professor Ryan Cook have provided my children with discipline, integrity, conviction of character, and confidence. My wife and I are both school teachers and we see kids get in fights at school. It is no longer a one-on-one situation. I need to know that my children are prepared for any altercations and I feel they are more than prepared after studying and practicing at Evolution. Evolution provides an environment in which students can safely practice being in situations that are as close to real fights as possible. My children carry themselves with confidence so that no bullies would dare try to pick on them.
My children are also participants in many local and state tournaments that help them hone their skills and become better practitioners of the martial arts. None of that would have been possible before studying under Professor Cook. Many students travel to tournaments together and Evolution Martial Arts has become our extended family.
